Visually disabled bluesy folk singer and songwriter – has composed several songs in the folk tradition himself

Plays dotara and sarod
Has regularly performed in Manikganj all his life but his presence in the more established urban music circuit has been since the early 80s. The last 2 major appearances were at Dhaka's AMPFUSION concert series under the aegis of BATB (British American Tobacco Bangladesh) where he performed with a full band backing and his blues-rock rendition of traditional folk was highly appreciated. On both occasions he was the only performer amongst many well-established rock and pop icons to receive a standing ovation from the audience.

International exposure includes a series of concerts in France at the invitation of the French Government in the early 90s.
